Hi Warren,

Thanks so much for responding to my post! I appreciate your clarification.

Has your biggest challenge always been fundraising, or is that a more recent development? Has the library added Mediatech into its budget?

Again, thank you so much for responding to my post. That was such a pleasant surprise!

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for this nice post. I wanted to add that there actually was a LOT of struggle that went into the very early stages of Mediatech, and I probably should have emphasized this more in the presentation.

Our biggest challenge -- fundraising. We were turned down hundreds of times for requests. Starting a non-profit right now is pretty crazy. Local businesses are tapped out given the state of the economy. If I gave the impression that it was easy, I was incorrect.

I did find that people were much more willing to donate their services than their cash. Ask them for specific items that they have or can share.

Hi Stevie! Thanks so much for posting on my blog! I'm glad that I came to YALSA 101... And you're very welcome to use it as a testimonial. Thanks for asking!

Hey Melissa! Welcome to YALSA! I'm Stevie Kuenn, YALSA's communications specialist. Your post came up in my Google news alert for the division, and I was wondering if you would mind if I used part of it as a testimonial. I'm forwarding it to our board; the members who I've spoken to about it loved that you joined during 101!

I like your description of the feature set, but how do you employ Delicious Library? One of the common criticisms of the program is that it's a great application without a clear use case. In what contexts do you think it suggests a specific use?

As a game designer, I use it myself to catalogue games, categorize them by how important it is for me to play them, and use the metadata to physically locate them on the shelves.

How do you use it? Do you use it for multiple media? How many features, out of the total number of features, would you say that you use? How would you streamline the interface if there is some redundant task that you must perform?

I'd love to see complete critiques of software from you (: I'd also really like to see you write about LocoRoco...
